Unique Futuristic Oasis, Inc. was
established as a California
public benefit corporation in
2007. The UFO supports programs
that educate and
enrich, and non-profit events that provide the
general public
with opportunities to spring forward creative ideas
in order
to promote
creative self expression.
The
UFO is a proud supporter of the Syd
Barrett Fund dedicated in
loving memory of artist
Roger Keith ‘Syd’ Barrett (1946-2006).
The Syd
Barrett Fund
was set up in 2008 by Syd's sister,
Rosemary
Breen,
with
the support of Escape
Artists.
The Syd Barrett Fund
exists to
raise funds for arts projects
in
the mental health sector;
extending to other
individuals
the enjoyment and benefits that
Syd found in the arts.

The
Unique Futuristic Oasis, Inc. is working to establish
a
futuristic community lounge on a bluff in Folsom, California
located
on the North end of the Historic Rainbow Bridge.
Intended to be a
non-profit community meeting place and
lounge that not only serves
the best coffee, beer, wine
and desserts in town, but also the best ideas.
The
original lounge concept was first introduced to the City
of Folsom
Planning Department on November 16, 1996. The design is
inspired from natural elements of the local area and
architectural
elements of the Historical
Rainbow Bridge Crossing. |

Location, Location |
The location
is a highly visible spot with an exceptional view overlooking
beautiful Lake Natoma and the Rainbow Bridge. The major
intersection is
what’s considered locally as "the
gateway into Folsom". The property is
2 acres zoned
for C3 commercial use, and is located at the very
busy
intersection of Folsom-Auburn Road and Greenback Lane,
on a bluff
with a beautiful view overlooking Lake Natoma.

Future
Community Lounge Design Concept
The major function for the facility is to work as a community
meeting place, events venue, and educational facility. Visitors
to the facility will be immersed in a world of sound, light,
music, art and culture. Using the latest stuff. Designed
to include superior acoustics to attract only the best artists
and speakers. Another central feature to this futuristic
lounge concept, is the domed planetarium theatre ceiling.
Every visitor will always have a great experience to be
remembered forever.
Consistent
new programs will give people of all ages an experience
worth a visit again and again. Many playful interactive
exhibits will be located throughout the facility, inviting
visitors to explore their world using cutting edge technologies.
The UFO facility will most certainly be a landmark attraction
for tourism to the city of Folsom. A Unique Futuristic
Oasis just off the highway for weary travelers.
The lounge intends to serve coffee, beer, wine, desserts
and entertainment for the sole purpose of raising funds for important causes everyday.
