The Unique Futuristic Oasis (UFO) has launched UFO TV, a You Tube Channel. This new interactive media channel features videos from The City Wakes, the official tribute to Syd Barrett including the making of The City Wakes People Paintings, sponsored by the UFO. We hope you enjoy UFO TV.

The UFO hosted a special "People Painting" during The City Wakes exhibition: a blank canvas available for visitors to "offer their love and creativity to Mr. Barrett". Everyone had the opportunity to express themselves.  Seven paintings were created which are now being auctioned to raise funds for the Syd Barrett Trust. More >>

Gala Performance - Trinity College Chapel

This is a shot from the Trinity College: chapel organ. This is also the view from where Peter Wynne-Willson and his dedicated assistant were very busy making psychedelic lighting effects to completely fill the Chapel in sequence lighting to change along with the music. The City Wakes Team did an excellent show indeed. Trinity College Chapel was completed in 1567, during the reign of Elizabeth I, Trinity College Chapel is a magnificent space that plays host to rich and diverse architectural features. Original Tudor woodwork, Victorian coloured glass windows, and one of only two modern organs by Metzler found in Britain, are all presided over by an imposing painting by early 19th century American artist Benjamin West.

The spectacular finale to The City Wakes was a gala performance of The City Wakes concert produced by Escape Artists in the beautiful setting of Trinity College Chapel in Cambridge. On the final night of The City Wakes, the statues of Isaac Newton and Lord Tennyson had the good fortune of sharing their illustrious home with psychedelic light effects and the inimitable sounds of Syd Barrett. The gala performance was a weirdly apt fusion of the divergent faces of Cambridge life.

Our primary mission is to earn monies to fund initiatives that will increase awareness for critical causes supporting a healthy sustainable future. We support community programs that educate and enrich lives, and sponsor event platforms which the general public use to spring forward their own great ideas for a better tomorrow.

Our most critical mission is to provide all people of the world with access to free education and information technologies. To accomplish this, the organization finds innovative ways to raise funds, such as, establishing and operating non profit businesses and sponsoring music and art gatherings.
